(Stafford Springs, CT)---Stafford Motor Speedway opens its doors for business in 2008 with its traditional Spring Motorcycle and Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meets. The 22nd Annual Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meet will be this Sunday, April 13.

The 22nd Annual Ty-Rods Automotive Swap Meet features an abundance of everything automotive, from complete cars all the way down to suspension and engine parts. There will also be a car corral for FOR SALE ONLY vehicles. Admission for the Ty-Rods meet is $10. The gates for the Ty-Rods meet will open at 7:00am, and the meet is rain or shine.

Vendor spaces for the Ty-Rods meet measure approximately 10' by 20', and cube vans need at least two spaces. Vendor spaces are priced at $45 per space. The car corral is a limited area and fills up on a first come, first serve basis. The price to display a car in the corral is $25 per vehicle.

Stafford Motor Speedway kicks off its 2008 racing season with the 37th annual Tech-Net Spring Sizzler presented by CARQUEST. The Tech-Net Spring Sizzler is scheduled for April 25-27, and will consist of the 200-lap Tech-Net Spring Sizzler for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, a 40-lap SK Modified® feature, a 30-lap Late Model feature, 20-lap feature events for both the SK Light Modified and Limited Late Model divisions, and a 15-lap DARE Stock feature.

Tickets for 37th Annual Tech-Net Spring Sizzler presented by CARQUEST are on sale now and can be obtained by calling the speedway office at 860-684-2783 or by stopping by the office in person. Tickets for "The Greatest Race In the History of Spring" are priced at $35.00 for Adult General Admission, $38.00 for Reserved Seating, $5.00 for children ages 6-14, and children ages 5 and under are admitted FREE when accompanied by an adult. Parking is available on the speedway grounds FREE of charge, with overnight parking for campers and RVs available.
