The race for the 2009 SK Light Modified championship at Stafford Motor
Speedway will be wide open as Joe Allegro, Jr., the defending track
champion in that division, will make the move up the ladder to the SK
Modified® division and run for 2009 Rookie of the Year honors.

Stafford Motor Speedway has released its 2009 NASCAR Whelen All-American
Series event schedule which will showcase the track's SK Modified® and
Late Model divisions in two extra distance events as well as four Whelen
Modified Tour events. SMS will host a total of 24 racing events, with
the 2009 NASCAR season kicking off with the 38th Annual Tech-Net Spring
Sizzler presented by CARQUEST April 24-26, and concluding with the 37th
annual CARQUEST Fall Final Weekend on October 2-4.

Only Phil Rondeau and Ryan Posocco have ever won three consecutive track
titles in any division in Stafford's long and extensive history. Now,
with a third consecutive Stafford Motor Speedway DARE Stock track championship
this season, Norm Sears joins that exclusive club.

In only his second season of racing at Stafford Motor Speedway, Joe
Allegro, Jr. took home the 2008 SK Light Modified track championship
in the tightest points race of the 2008 Stafford season. While Allegro
and his Parker Street Used Auto Parts team will celebrate as champions,
the road they took to the championship was most certainly a path less
traveled.

With the 2008 Stafford Motor Speedway NASCAR Racing season in the history
books, it is time once again for competitors to be rewarded for their
season-long efforts through the Stafford Motor Speedway point fund and
NASCAR Contingency awards. For their efforts during the 2008 season,
SMS competitors banked over $400,000 in regular season purse money,
post-season awards and contingency bonuses.

Stafford Motor Speedway welcomed a guest list of over 500 people consisting
of teams, drivers, and employees this past Friday night, November 14,
2008 at the La Renaissance Banquet Facility in East Windsor to officially
honor Keith Rocco, Ryan Posocco, Joe Allegro, Jr., Bill Davis, and Norm
Sears as the 2008 Stafford Motor Speedway NASCAR Whelen All-American
Series track champions. With Stafford Motor Speedway broadcasters Matt
Buckler and Tony Sutton serving as the Masters of Ceremony, the 39th
annual Stafford Motor Speedway NASCAR Champions Awards Ceremony not
only honored the five track champions, it also honored the top-20 points
finishers from the SK Modified®, Late Model, SK Light, Limited Late
Model, and DARE Stock divisions. Other awards that were presented during
the evening's festivities were Most Popular Driver Awards, Most Improved
Driver Awards, and the Reliable Welding & Speed Rookie of the Year awards.

After two seasons of contending for the Stafford Motor Speedway Limited
Late Model championship but coming up short at season's end, Bill Davis
and the #06 Shop Tech Software team proved that the third time is the
charm, taking the 2008 championship by a 22-point margin over the 2007
champion, Sean Foster. Davis opened the 2008 season in grand style with
a victory at the CARQUEST Tech-Net Spring Sizzler and he used the momentum
from that victory to lead the points standings for all but one week
of the year.

Ryan Posocco clinched his fourth career Late Model championship with
a season for the ages, taking 7 wins and 14 podium finishes in 17 starts
this season. The championship is the second for car owner Marcia Kretschman,
who also won the title in 2006 with Woody Pitkat driving.
